The perfected IQ Quattro X 2490 is a must-have for every high-production environment. Together with Nextimage 7 software, this 24-inch scanner exceeds FADGI 3-star compliance to deliver industry-leading results for large-format technical drawings.


Faster

The IQ Quattro X 2490 represents the 5th generation of Contex CIS scanners, featuring enhanced speeds and 3 times faster data transfer. This model scans at 17.8 inches per second in 200 dpi RGB color , with an upgrade path available to reach 17.8 inches per second. It achieves a native monochrome speed of 17.8 inches per second for grayscale documents. In high-production environments, it is capable of processing up to 856 Arch D-size monochrome documents per hour.


Smarter

Operations are smarter with the Nextimage Remote app, which offers an alternative way of working that saves valuable operator time. This app brings all essential scanning and copying functions directly to the operator at the scanner for maximum efficiency. Professional color accuracy is guaranteed by ICC color profiles in Nextimage 7, which are powered by X-Rite®. Furthermore, the unit is Energy Star 3.0 compliant, consuming only 0.5 W in standby mode.

For superior image quality, Contex Live Alignment technology ensures precise and sharp image alignment across sensors at any speed. The scanner uses 48-bit CIS technology to capture every detail at a 1200 dpi optical resolution. It is specifically designed to accommodate large-format technical drawings with a maximum scan width of 24 inches (610 mm) and media widths up to 26.6 inches (676 mm).


Improved Technology

The underlying technology has been significantly improved, featuring a USB 3.0 implementation with xDTR3 that is blisteringly fast, eliminating concerns about "shoe shining" or needing to rescan. CleanScan CIS utilizes dual-sided LED lighting to eliminate shadows caused by creases and folds in original documents. Patented Color Fringe Removal (CFR) technology sharpens images by removing fringes inherent in CIS strobing devices. Additionally, SIGMA technology reduces the effects of uneven heat build-up in sensors during intensive scanning sessions.
